Corps de Textes

Théâtre de Liège Belgique -AMCCS Espace Malraux France -Teatre Nacional de Catalunya SA Espagne-Penetrarte Associação Cultural Portugal-Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria Italie-Hrvatsko narodno kazaliste u Zagrebu Croatie-NEW BULGARIAN UNIVERSITY Bulgarie are partners in the project « Corps de Textes –Liaisons contemporaines ».

Corps de Textes (CdT) is a network of European theatres which take part in the gathering, the selection, the translation and the circulation of texts written by contemporary authors. In the project Liaisons contemporaines, the goals aimed at by the activities are to discover and share new theatrical texts with new publics. By adapting young or experienced authors’ texts for plays, CdT focuses on the creation of rising authors and the promotion amongst different publics.

Liaisons contemporaines puts a series of texts and translations online, puts actors in the limelight, stages the creation and offers it to European theatres and publics. Some complementary actions allow us to meet the authors (19 meetings), to accompany the translators (6 translation colloquia), to share experiences between professionals (3 bivouacs) and to touch the public (4 festivals). These activities are ideal platforms to present and spread the texts amongst young companies, professionals and students (performance art, literature, translation). A committee (university, drama school, translation school) and a book committee (bookstore, library, festival) will work on the selections and the readings. They will be open to the blind, for whom readings are perfectly adequate. Meetings are scheduled to develop the network, follow the selections and translations, identify themes, ensure Internet publishing and produce the tools and actions. Each partner in charge of actions will conduct the group to discuss about techniques, knowledge, organisations and collective co-productions in a European spirit. The Maison A. Vitez, which is an expert in theatrical translation, guarantees the translation quality and the discovery of other texts coming from other European countries.

In addition to the texts written in Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, French, Italian, Polish and Portuguese, CdT offers tools (texts, website, newsletters) written in English.
