Anne-Cécile Vandalem / Das Fräulein (Kompanie)
Following the critical and public success of Tristesses, Anne-Cécile Vandalem continues her Nordic journey. In 2025, the Arctic Serenity, a former cruise ship, is taken to Greenland to be transformed into a luxury hotel. Quickly abandoned by its tow, the boat drifts with its former captain on board along with six hidden passengers fleeing from a Europe at war. Against a backdrop of climate change and ecological defeat, this closed set mixes thriller, comedy, revenge, political and economic shenanigans, ghosts, and live musicians, all sublimated by ambitious staging using machinery. Helped by the use of live video affirming itself as a real narrative tool, the frightening and funny actors interpret a micro-society composed of individualists pushed to their limits. A scenario that sends shivers down your spine!
