The project was built around a new dynamic of collaborations, synergies and relationships between the partners, their respective teams, the artists and the audiences around the redesign of the production and distribution of the shows.<\/p>\n<p>The project has three main goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To imagine other principles, other developments for a more inclusive, more diversified European theatre creation, more connected to current societal issues;<\/li>\n<li>Broaden the dissemination of theatrical works, in theatres and on the digital space, to reach new audiences;<\/li>\n<li>Rethink the theatrical journey of audiences, from the initial discovery to the aftermath of the performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this context of repeated crises, which confronts Europe with the need to convince its citizens, the partners intend to show that art and culture are a powerful force capable of stimulating creativity, exchange and cohesion. They believe that theatre, in particular, remains an essential place for dialogue, capable of creating real, direct, human encounters and of increasing our critical sense. Through their work, they wish to participate in the artistic and cultural development of Europe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thanks to the support of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eacea.ec.europa.eu\/index_nl\">Creative Europe<\/a> programme, the partners, strengthened by their visibility at the European level and their openness to other continents, are able to pursue their research on the issues of theatre, media and creation, more particularly their evolution and modernization.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">The partners<\/span>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROSPERO \u2013 Extended Theatre<\/strong> gathers 10 partners &#8211; 9 theatres and one medium (ARTE), from 9 countries of the Union.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/theatredeliege.be\/en\/\"><strong>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Li\u00e8ge<\/strong><\/a> (project leader \u2013 Belgium)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emiliaromagnateatro.com\/en\/\"><strong>Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione<\/strong><\/a> (Modena \u2013 Italia)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatrosaoluiz.pt\/en\/\"><strong>S\u00e3o Luiz Teatro Municipal<\/strong><\/a> (Lisboa \u2013 Portugal)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/stadsteatern.goteborg.se\/en\/\"><strong>G\u00f6teborgs Stadsteater<\/strong><\/a> (G\u00f6teborg &#8211; Sverige)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hnk.hr\/en\/\"><strong>Hrvatsko narodno kazali\u0161te u Zagrebu <\/strong><\/a> (Zagreb \u2013 Hrvatska)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatroscanal.com\/\"><strong>Teatros del Canal<\/strong><\/a> (Comunidad de Madrid\u00a0\u2013 Espa\u00f1a)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.schaubuehne.de\/en\/start\/index.html\"><strong>Schaub\u00fchne Berlin<\/strong><\/a> (Deutschland)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powszechny.com\/index.html?lang=en\"><strong>Teatr Powszechny<\/strong><\/a> (Warszawa\u00a0\u2013 Polska)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatre-odeon.eu\/en#\"><strong>Od\u00e9on-Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l&#8217;Europe<\/strong><\/a> (Paris \u2013 France)<br \/>\n&#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arte.tv\"><strong>ARTE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cPROSPERO &#8211; Extended Theatre\u201d is a challenge to artists, professionals and spectators, another way of addressing the very question of possible European identity: a certain culture of openness.<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.prospero-theatre.eu\">http:\/\/www.prospero-theatre.eu<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The vocation of the Prospero platform is to host and\u00a0make accessible, for free (during the period of EU\u00a0funding, until end of 2024) and in the whole European\u00a0Union, theatre-related content such as: recordings of plays, interviews of artists, and short documentaries on\u00a0the theatres\u2019 and plays\u2019 backstage.<\/p>\n<p>The Prospero platform will allow the partner theatres\u00a0to highlight the artists and productions they produce\u00a0and support through high quality digital content, as\u00a0well as to increase their own visibility on the European\u00a0scene. This platform is also an opportunity for them to\u00a0develop their digital presence and to contribute to the\u00a0appropriation of this medium &#8211; rich in potential &#8211; by the<br \/>\nsector.<br \/>\nFor the general audience, the professionals of the\u00a0sector, and other interested actors from the educational\u00a0and associative spheres, the Prospero platform will be\u00a0a place to find high quality recordings of plays, and\u00a0related contents, coming from all over Europe.
