- Location : Salle de la Grande Main
For all audiences, from 12 years old
Performance created on November 4, 2025 at Théâtre de Liège, in collaboration with the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège
A moonlit night. An enchanting landscape, the smoky remnants of what was once a lush forest.
A young girl, Plume. In the twilight, her presence mingles with that of a bird.
In the distance, the sounds of a city and its outskirts can be heard — what she left behind one morning.
Like the rest of the youth, she fled her home. Schoolyards emptied of children’s laughter, and with them, the very notion of a future evaporated.
Plume moves forward. Alone.
She turned away from the march, going against the current of her generation.
An old man, facing a group of children, recounts the events — what triggered their departure and where exile now leads them.
The collective and the intimate intertwine in this epic quest for a dreamed-of land.
In collaboration with the choir of the Maîtrise of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, Sarah Seignobosc delivers with After the Fire an ecological and musical tale that places youth back at the center of action.
