In 1989, Claudio Bernardo watched the last performance of the play Les Troyennes (The Trojans), directed by Thierry Salmon and set to music composed in ancient Greek by Giovanna Marini. This memory inspired the choreographer to draw connections between memory and transmission. Claudio Bernardo creates an homage to femininity, in which dance, theatre, music and cinema intertwine. The performance echoes the destiny of thousands of refugee women fleeing from war. This evening, Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans, Sudanese and Libyans, who are now in exile, act one last time before they leave, because they have to leave. Inexorably.
