Arsen & Fanfan
La Horde Furtive / Simon Thomas
- Duur: in creation
- Location : Salle de la Grande Main
CREATION AT THÉÂTRE DE LIÈGE
Arsen and Fanfan are plugged into wall sockets. They chat cheerfully. Only a few meters separate them, yet they cannot touch each other. Conversations flow, but suddenly, due to too much inadvertence, Arsen unplugs… and dies on the spot. Fanfan is plugged in too far away to save Arsen, and the show seems to have found a tragic ending right at its beginning.
But who knows? Perhaps this is only the starting point of a mischievous reflection on the ephemeral, mortality, and “suddenly there’s nothing left.” A reflection filled with humor and surrealism, magic, characters who see into the future and know the past, re-plugging and unplugging. A show with generous humor, where our finitudes are subtly addressed, up to the finitude of the Universe.
After three previous shows delving into the absurdity of our existences (Should I stay or should I stay, Char d’assaut, and Stanley), La Horde Furtive returns with a new cutting-edge creation, reminding us of its love for self-referential humor, comic repetition, and repetition of comedy.
