Producer Peter Brook comes back to the Mahabharata that he created in 1985, which was a summit of his work. Written thousands of years ago, the Indian epic tells us, always in an unexpected way, how to open our eyes to what the reality of our lives demands. The show’s magic – plainly interpreted by both local and legendary, familiar and mythic – wants to ensure that the tragic assessment shared with such grace and kindness evolves into confidence that awakens, enlightens. Mysteriously appeases, fraternally. A perfect gesture, suspended, light as a breath.
