Blockbuster

Nicolas Ancion / Collectif Mensuel

  • Duur: 1h30
  • Location : Salle de la Grande Main

Blockbuster is a mashup, in other words, a montage of clips from American cinema big budget productions.  The Collectif Mensuel insures the dialogues, the dubbing, the music and the sound effects beneath our fascinated eyes. All the ingredients of a blockbuster are brought together in this ingenious misappropriation:  the Manichaean heroes, the high-speed pursuits, the spectacular explosions. More than ever, the impertinent stooges, assisted by Nicolas Ancion, erect humour as a weapon of protest, allow the deep political and social dysfunctions that oppress us to be treated with connivance. This spectacle-performance, fiercely funny, is to be seen and seen again, because it is somewhat reminiscent of a certain contemporary Muette Portici.
