Ruben and Mathilde, assisted by their black servants, have invited Daniel and Corine to dinner. Daniel is at the head of a project that implicates the Congolese public authorities and covets Ruben’s mediator to get in touch with the relevant minister. As the title declares, “Regarde l’homme blanc” (look at the white man) is about the look of the “strong” on the “weak”. On a background of sexism and contempt for class, producer Frédéric Dussenne is surrounded by audacious actors to serve Remi De Vos’ writing and offer us the chance to watch the middle-class varnish crack.
