Richard McGuire / Coline Struyf
A member of Collectif Mariedl, the producer Coline Struyf, inspired by the narrative structure of the graphic novel Ici by Richard McGuire, tells us the story of a place. It has existed for hundreds of thousands of years and will still exist in several millennia. In this limited space viewed from the same angle, the lives of the beings who have inhabited it through the centuries intersect, clash and echo one another, before being precipitated into oblivion. The staging represent a 3D collage and an illusion to create a constantly-changing magical place. Ce qui arrive is an examination of what in the past has shaped the present and an exploration of the territory of a dreamed future. Coline Struyf questions what remains, what survives, what disappears, what happens. And it’s magnificent!
