Ces enfants-là is the story of an only child growing up in the 1960s, the years of women’s emancipation and sexual liberation. She hangs out with a lot of eccentric characters, alongside her parents.

The novel by Virginie Jortay, which has been adapted for the stage, is divided into thirty short scenes and an equal number of flash sequences that follow one after another like the frenzied turning of the pages in a scintillating book. In a production for two narrators and a doll, the two actors – Janine Godinas and Anne Sylvain – capture the different voices and bring this child to life, in the successive stages that link her to her mother, who is probably ill. A cash script that leads us between the past and the present, like a rally, until the final revelation, which has been underscored since the beginning. The taboo of inconceivable evidence.
