Born in 1971 and 1976 in Quimper (France), Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec completed their studies at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris and the École nationale supérieure d’arts in Cergy-Pontoise respectively. Having graduated, Ronan begins to work alone, assisted by his brother whose training is still not complete. In 1999, the two brothers come together to open a design studio in Paris. Their business extends to the creation of small utility objects for architectural projects. In addition to designing furniture for homes and offices, vases, porcelain tableware, jewellery and various accessories for the home, the study of space and its layout is one of the constants applied to their creation. Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec represent an essential part of the Vitra Home Collection which continues to grow.
