During lockdown, the actress Delphine Bibet produced a theatrical-photographic series and a series of short films. This piece, entitled Entracte ! playfully attests to the idea of having become ‘non-essential’.

In the run-up, Delphine Bibet recounts the story of a day in the life of two actors who have been reclusive for years. They are suffering from cabin fever, which is characterised by their fear of going outside after a prolonged period of isolation. Blanketed in their respective refuges, dressed in the costumes of characters they once played, or dreamed of playing, they perform sections from Shakespeare via playback and in English. Delphine Bibet reminds us, in her own way, that being an artist is a constant job, that everything is a pretext to play in order to live and survive and not be forgotten.
