Festival Corps de Textes 2026
In springtime, the Corps de Textes Festival asserts itself as a space where literature and the performing arts meet — a time to joyfully celebrate the power of words and the singular emotions they evoke.
Performances, readings, and encounters will follow one another, honoring the richness of language and the boundless inventiveness with which artists appropriate, distort, alter, and twist it to extract all its poetry.
After a focus on Quebec and the Congo, the festival continues its exploration of the French language beyond Europe, turning its attention to the vibrant vitality of Moroccan Francophone literature.
With a rich oral tradition, Morocco remains a land of poetry, where stories are still told during grand evening gatherings — an invitation to rediscover the pleasures of words in a new light.
Thus, among many highlights, the festival will open with a performance of rare intensity, Face à la mère, a long poem addressed to a departed mother; we will also welcome Moroccan storyteller Halima Hamdane, who will delight both young and old; the essential Abdellah Taïa; and promising new talents from Belgium, such as Eva Mancuso and Mel Moya.
While awaiting the full program, to be unveiled this fall, the Corps de Textes Festival already promises to be a suspended moment within the season — a time when theater gives way to poetry and contemporary literature, paying tribute to the artisans of words who explore the infinite richness of the French language.
