This adaptation of Beaumarchais’ masterpiece is great fun, the lively performances punctuated by a band which shifts from Mozart to the Beatles via Beyoncé in order to paint a cameo of romantic intrigues, the levelling of old scores, secret meetings, as well as the class struggle, and the gender war in one crazy day.
