How do you make love on a film set?
Or on a theater stage?
Actually, how do you make love at all?
After the pandemic — when we were emerging from two years of physical distancing, when touching became transgressive, when our bodies were seen as sites of illness rather than vessels of desire — the well-known Irish company Dead Centre (Beckett’s Room, To Be a Machine, The Silence) and multi-award-winning novelist Emilie Pine joined forces to create Good Sex, a love story for an age without love.
Each night, two new performers tell a story of desire, betrayal, and loneliness.
They have never rehearsed together, nor even read the script.
They know (almost) nothing and are strangers… but they are never truly alone; joining them on stage is an intimacy coordinator, trained in the art of teaching people how to touch each other on stage.
So take your seats, and rest assured:
this will be safe sex.
Consensual sex.
But above all, good sex!
