Horion

Malika Djardi {Lyon}
19/02/2018 20/02/2018
  • Duur: 55'
  • Location : Salle de l’Œil vert

If a “horion” is a blow, Orion signifies in Greek mythology a hunter renowned for his beauty and his violence. The start is announced and the fantastical machine is moving at full speed. The incongruous metamorphoses of the performers, Malika Djardi and Nestor Garcia Diaz, supported by an unfailing physicality, maintain a hallucinating rhythm.  The strokes and sounds of the tongue, the thighs, and the drumsticks are heard. Conducted with mischief, Horion cheerfully borrows codes from genre films, exoticism, and deconstruction. The two stooges mix exploits, brutality, love and hate in a poetic exploration of the couple where everything goes. In this extravagant cabaret of the musical and choreographic unexpected, body becomes matter, music, instrument, character, energy, and rhythm. A crazy adventure that is definitely worth the detour.
