24/09/2021 01/10/2021
  • Duur: 1h40
  • Location : Salle de la Grande Main

Kingdom recounts the story of two families who left Europe to live on the borders of the East Siberian taiga region, in order to live in harmony with nature. After three decades of living in an environment that is equal parts beauty and hostility, the different clans finally succumb to what they had hoped to escape and declare war on one another. The events will be narrated from the perspective of a production crew who have come to make a film about one of the two families. However, Anne-Cécile Vandalem primarily recounts the fall of a utopia from the point of view of the children living in the kingdom, those who will be responsible for rebuilding this impossible community. This show, which was produced in Avignon this summer, completes a trilogy that began with Sadness (2016) and Arctic (2018).
