In this play written by Jean Cocteau, a woman is on the phone with her ex-lover. She tries to hold him back from leaving, threatens him, begs him, and explodes. After Simone Signoret, Ingrid Bergman and Liv Ullmann, the great Halina Reijn gives us a performance which is as exciting as a roller coaster, going from rage to despair as we break into her intimacy. The talented Ivo van Hove directs an existential tragedy wherein love and solitude are tinged with truth.
