CRÉATION

The story of a lone and anonymous woman in one last conversion with her lover, who has decided to put an end to their relationship. Tenderness, passion, blackmail, anger, calm and repentance swarm to try and bring her beloved’s feeling back to life. As her love-life declines, this contemporary Marilyn breaks down. Written in 1927 by Jean Cocteau, this portrait of a fallen icon contains some strange beauty as well as dazzling modernity. The poignant Sophia Leboutte, accompanied by a string ensemble, brilliantly embodies this hymn to love directed by Salvatore Calcagno.
