Le vent souffle sur Erzebeth

  • Duur: inconnue, spectacle en création
  • Location : Salle de la Grande Main

The story happens in a village enclaved between the sea, the mountains and a volcano where a violent wind rages for six days every month. Erzebeth, a young twenty-year-old woman, is particularly sensitive to it. One day, she saves a little girl from drowning and becomes the village hero. But the wind keeps on blowing and Erzebeth’s fears about ageing, death and nature’s cyclical renewal grow. Hasn’t the wounded little girl’s blood made Erzebeth’s hands young again? Nobody can stop the wind, or the tragedy. This poetic and epic fable addresses the issue of the “being of disorder”, the one who is incapable of entering the framework, and our ability to listen to the margin when the norm is the common reference point and that we care about it. Supported by an impressive casting – among which a choir of amateur comedians from Liège – as well as a fanfare of five musicians, this tempestuous symphony invites the spectator to a journey outside of time, leaving room for mystery and the incomprehensible.
