The theatrical adaptation of Liège’s Nicolas Ancion’s sixth novel juggles with genres, styles and registers to talk to us about Lakshmi Mittal, the owner of the world’s largest steel group. His kidnapping happens in Liège by a gang of pieds nickelés (nickel feet) lead by Richard Moors, a plastic artist looking for dedication for his friend Octavio, and worker recently fired from the steel industry. This political social thriller, whose main character is our dear city, offers us the chance to go from pathological laughter to communicative reflection to question the absurdity as much as the disarray of today’s society.
