Twenty years after the huge success of his adaptation of A Flea in Her Ear, Stanislas Nordey reconnects with the fantasy and clockwork precision of Feydeau’s theater by opening the doors to the famous Free Exchange Hotel.

Mr. Pinglet, a seemingly respectable bourgeois, dreams of indulging in the pleasures of adultery with the wife of his friend and business partner, architect Paillardin.
Neglected by her husband and tired of his cavalier attitude, Marcelle Paillardin eventually yields and agrees to spend the night at this shady hotel, which promises safety and discretion.

A master at weaving every possible obstacle, Feydeau stirs into the chaos Mathieu, a family friend who only stutters when things go wrong, freshly arrived from Valenciennes with his four daughters just out of the convent; a shy young man; a very bold chambermaid; quirky hotel staff; and a few bumbling policemen…
All of whom find themselves where they absolutely should not be!

Supported by a dazzling cast of thirteen actors, a grandiose transforming set, and no fewer than thirty costumes, Stanislas Nordey signs an ambitious production, paying vibrant homage to the playwright who elevated vaudeville to an art form.
