Frédéric Penelle is an engraver and Yannick Jacquet is a videographer. One wishing to erase the engraving from its frame and its “beautiful papers”, the other wishing to escape the traditional projection formats and insert the video in space. It is their common desire to leave the beaten track of their discipline that this installation was born. Crossing mediums, their work borrows the form of a poetic and absurd machinery that develops on the walls in the manner of an exquisite corpse. Taking as a starting point the principle of chain reaction, the installation, meticulously mounted as a fine watchmaking, traces connections, loop paths that invite to reverie. Time is decomposed, lost and yet everything refers to it. A playful and poetic experience that has already amazed many spectators in the four corners of the world.
