Trying to cross the linguistic border, a new partnership between the Théâtre Royal Flamand, the KVS and the Théâtre de Liège is born. In this context, we welcome an inventive and fun adaptation of Essais by Michel de Montaigne, French gentleman philosopher from the 16thcentury. Humanism tries to understand its own existence, to understand the human being, with the motto “What do I know?” Indeed, what are we actually sure of knowing? In French, with a disarming nature, the actor Koen De Sutter thinks about the important things and the little things in life, talks about his pain and his joy. Defending philosophy like the new rebels’ brand, Koen De Sutter exerts his remarkable mastery of the game.
