Mycelium

Christos Papadopoulos / Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon
22/09/2023 23/09/2023
  • Duration: 1h
  • Location : Salle de la Grande Main

Christos Papadopoulos blew us away with the beauty of his piece Larsen C. The major reference at play in the Greek artist’s choreographic research is what he refers to as the ‘creativity’ of nature, a rhythmic cycle of repetitive and synchronised structures that ensure survival. This fifth piece, which is scheduled as a preview for the season and designed for twenty dancers, chooses the oldest and largest organism on earth – the mycelium – as its muse and reaffirms Christos Papadopoulos’ exceptional talent for organic writing !
