NeoArtic
Hotel Pro Forma & Latvian Radio Choir (Copenhagen – Riga)
- Duur: 80'
- Location : cultuurcentrum, Hasselt
NeoArtic is an eco-performance on anthropocene – a new geological era, defined by human-induced turbulence on the planet’s ecosystems. The latter have learned to become a “force of nature” which contributes to bring about rapid, often involuntary, changes on the land where we live. Nature as we know it has disappeared, following dramatic and uncontrollable ecological changes. The Danish company Hotel Pro Forma observes the ruins and insurrections of modern industrial civilization, through a sound and visual landscape in 12 performative paintings. Exceptional Latvian choristers combine their songs with experimental electronic compositions by Andy Stott and Krist Auznieks. Aesthetic, poetic and alarming.
A breathtaking performance for the closing of the IMPACT 2017 Forum.
