creation

Nicolas Luçon, who skilfully directed Blanche Neige and L’Institut Benjamenta, is now working on a new creation based this time on the atypical work of the Polish author S.I. Witkiewicz, La Poule d’Eau, which was written in 1921. The main character Edgar Walpor is eaten up with doubt. Despite his efforts, he has never succeeded in solving the chaos in his life. Everything seems to be falling apart, from his relationships to his work and his family life. When you look at his story, it makes you think of characters you could find in Chekhov’s or Dostoyevsky’s work but Witkiewicz tells his story in a strange contorted way which gives us the impression to look at Walpor not from the outside but from the inside, surrounded by a series of colourful but lost characters.
