Maja Zade, a playwright and author from the Schaubühne theatre, places Sophocles’ ancient myth in our century, connects it to the things that concern us and deals with power and means of governing.

The young Héloïse Ravet appropriates this universal plot, which has been updated thanks to the central place attributed to the character of Jocasta, whose speech is finally restored. Christina, the owner of a chemical-products company in Germany, is enjoying a holiday in her villa in Greece with Michael, her lover and young employee, while awaiting the birth of their child. Shocking family secrets rise to the surface as the future of the company becomes grimmer.
