Ouragan recounts the story of an absurd, but initiatory, sleepless night. A night for Abdeslam. A name charged with meaning and hard to live up to, which means ‘bringer of peace’. Abdeslam is a bicycle delivery man. A disposable worker, he is confronted with the insidious violence of the urban jungle. Alone in his home, he broods on his dark thoughts, when another Abdeslam appears and then another and so on. Multiplied by five, Abdeslam must try to reconcile his different personalities to achieve peace. These five performers bring to life a strong text by Ilyas Mettioui, which is resolutely modern and tinged with caustic humour. Incredible sound work bolsters the dazzling choreography, in which bodies open up to intimacy by unveiling what is buried beneath.
