Rage
Emilienne Flagothier
- Duur: 1:45
- Location : Salle de la Grande Main
What if anger were ultimately a healthy emotion? What if rage were a salutary feeling? What if it’s not the constant repression of sometimes violent emotions swirling within us that is ultimately detrimental? Have we not learned for too long to remain calm? Docile? Why do we stay silent? Why do we never react when we are called “my dear”? When a boss calls us “my beautiful”? When a friend tells us what to do, when to do it, how to do it?
What if we didn’t shut their big mouths once and for all? No more smiling! Times are changing, and today, it’s definitely not a good time to be a jerk. It’s time to rewrite history. To rewrite our stories. It’s finally time to bring to the stage all the reactions we should have had so that they take shape in our lives! It’s time to respond furiously, to counterattack with class! It’s no longer time for tears or resilience! It’s time for rage, anger, impetuosity!
In a cathartic spectacle about everyday sexism, Emilienne Flagothier proposes with “Rage” to replay scenes of common aggressions to change their outcome and initiate the liberating revolt that is long overdue.
