At the heart of a futuristic fable that takes place in 2120, Selma Alaoui puts her finger on the pulse of the anguish and hope that the future arouses in us. In a vehicle that combines theatre and film, a group is gathered around an archive document: excerpts from a science fiction film made in 2020. The rushes describe the vision of aliens and ultra-advanced technology that humans used to have of their future. Yet in 2120, reality is completely different. The survivors have recreated a society in which the brand-new organisation finds balance and strength in its capacity for imagination, the primary means of survival that can only be passed on orally.
