Cathy Min Jung looks at the impact of the economic crisis on workers, who, caught up in the massive waves of job losses, have been stripped of incomes which were already insecure: affecting women in particular. The story, set in a fictitious factory which is closing down, invites us to follow the daily lives of workers mired in a form of liberalism devoid of ethics. Hope is reborn however, when one woman enters a TV competition, Sing my Life
