Alessandro Baricco writes the script and directs Smith & Wesson. Flanked by the actresses Lio and Lou Chauvain, as well the Belgians Laurent Caron and Christophe Lambert, the Italian writer and musicologist sets his comical adventure in 1902, on the edge of Niagara Falls. In order to refine his statistics, self-appointed meteorologist Tom Smith wants to meet Jerry Wesson, who has become an expert in the treachery of the rapids from fishing out the bodies of unrequited lovers. The perky journalist Rachel Green, who will stop at nothing to write a sensational article, draws our two heroes into a hair-brained project to dive into the falls and come out alive.
