Strange Beauty
Yo-sup Bae
- Duur: 1h20
- Location : Salle de l’Œil vert
Yo-sup Bae, a renowned Korean director, brings together six artists – two Koreans and four Belgians – trained in acting, dance, choreography, video, sound creation and the visual arts. Together they experiment with the dialogue between the performing arts. Their exploration focuses on those unpredictable moments of encounter with “beauty” in art, from which neither lesson nor teaching can be drawn, which cannot be assimilated to any sensation or feeling, but which are experienced as pure, fundamental experiences that words are unable to describe. After a spiritual retreat steeped in the Buddhist tradition at the Tibetan Institute in Huy, the creators, all of whom are present on stage, weave their discipline with the wisdom of Taoism and the teachings of meditation. This collective performance holds many strange and beautiful surprises for us, in the colours of the calm morning.
