Tête à tête

Stéphane Gladyszewski (Montreal)
15/11/2017 19/11/2017
  • Duur: 20'
  • Location : Salle des Nouvelles Têtes

Here is an experiential work halfway between object theater, optical installation and existential tale. To go through this experience, the spectator, alone with the Canadian artist for twenty minutes, is invited to insert his face inside a mask inlaid in a wall. It is actually the face of the interpreter, Stéphane Gladyszewski. Equipped with a headset coupled with an ambient sound system, the spectator bathes in an immersive sound universe. According to the principles of anamorphosis, the unique point of view offered to the observer allows the artist to calibrate the light and the perspective of these living pictures in perfect trompe l’oeil. Carefully controlled lighting and the use of high-precision optical tools place the viewer in the face of his own holographic reflection. A meeting that whispers “Come in my head”.
