T’façon on est en 2012
Loraine Dambermont
- Duur: +/- 50 min, work in progress
- Location : Salle de l’Œil vert
Spectacle créé le 9 octobre 2025 au Théâtre de Liège
Performance created on October 9, 2025 at Théâtre de Liège
In her previous project, Toujours de ¾ face! (presented during the 2024 edition of the Pays de Danses festival), Loraine Dambermont delivered a funny and magnetic solo in the form of a self-defense tutorial, embodying the most famous Johnny Hallyday impersonator: Johnny Cadillac.
With T’façon on est en 2012 (the second part of the trilogy Mes années bagarre), the Belgian choreographer continues her exploration of outbursts and excesses of violence in contemporary society by focusing on a phenomenon typical of that era: online “clashes”.
In these digital confrontations, where insults are hurled without restraint and where relationships are dehumanized, humiliation becomes the symbol of an exacerbated, often masculine, violence that crushes others to assert dominance.
Inspired by the infamous “Lopez clash” that made headlines in the mid-2010s, Loraine Dambermont develops a singular choreographic language, full of self-deprecation and extreme sincerity, directly confronting the alarming rise of the call to fight.
