Tristesses (une comédie)

2016, Europe sees a rise of far-right parties. Among them is the antidemocratic party « Réveil populaire » (popular awakening), which is led by Mr Heiger and which is about to control a part of the Northern countries. His mother’s body is found in his native village which is situated on an island. Heiger’s visit is announced for the funeral. Under the influence of the inhabitants, teenagers cease this occasion to…but let’s stop here. We cannot say anything more about the new world built by Anne-Cécile Vandalem. Just know that she’s going to tackle the subjects that cause our daily despair in this world. She will closely examine the right and wrong, the emotions, the tyranny of the positivity and the strength that feeds the adolescents. These topics will be accompanied by Pierre Kissling and Vincent Cahay’s original music. What happens to the tears we don’t cry? Maybe we will find out…
