While creating Troisième Nature – a piece inviting audiences to see the world differently by shifting their perspective – Florencia Demestri and Samuel Lefeuvre realised they had, without even intending to, built the perfect material for a performance for young audiences. And so Troisième miNiature was born.
Following in the footsteps of Troisième Nature, this new piece explores pareidolia – that phenomenon which makes us see unexpected shapes in the randomness of nature: a dragon in the clouds, a mountain in a damp stain. The gaze is invited to break free from preconceptions and open up to imagination – a realm in which children are already experts.
By playing with rhythm, light and sound, the two choreographers let more recognisable shapes appear here and there, allowing children to fully project themselves into them.
Troisième miNiature is a fascinating journey through the randomness of forms – a poetic performance where imagination takes centre stage and every gaze invents its own story.
