Une pièce pour les vivant·e·x·s en temps d’extinction

Miranda Rose Hall / Katie Mitchell / Collectif Mensuel
28/11/2023 02/12/2023
  • Duur: 1h20
  • Location : Salle de l’Œil vert

Created during Forum sans Transition! This 2022 performance has been rescheduled, as its innovative and necessary concept deserves to be shared with a wide audience.

Katie Mitchell seeks out responsible and energy-efficient theatre practices. To do this, she has produced this eco-feminist solo piece by Miranda Rose Hall, which is powered by bicycles. In order to further reduce its carbon footprint, the show is touring partner theatres in the form of a simple script and a manual of rules to be followed by local artistic teams. In Liège, the Collectif Mensuel is taking on this challenge. In the play, a young woman tells us the story of Earth and the five mass extinctions dating back to the dawn of time. She also tells us about the sixth mass extinction that we are currently experiencing, not due to deep geological forces, but to human activity for less than two hundred years.
