Al fondo riela (Lo Otro del Uno)

Extrait de Trilogie pour guitares Rocío Molina
31/01/2024
  • Duur: 70'
  • Location : Salle de la Grande Main

An iconoclastic choreographer with an international reputation, for several years, Rocío Molina has been building her own unique language surrounding flamenco, a traditional form of artistic expression that began in the 17th century in the south of Spain, while embracing the avant-garde movements of our era, from which a resolutely innovative flamenco has emerged, the essence of which is yet still preserved.

For Al fondo riela (Lo Otro del Uno), the Spanish choreographer fills an understated stage with black and blue tones, and accompanied by two musicians, she explores the innumerable facets of flamenco and the infinite polyphonic possibilities offered by the guitar — the ultimate instrument of Andalusian dance. Narrating the genesis of her art, emerging from the fusion of dance and music, Rocío Molina shares with us an intimate score, full of authenticity, which reminds us of the need to cultivate our everyday amazement.
