D’après Visconti / Salvatore Calcagno
It is the story of a mother, Sonia, and her dream of cinema.
Sonia lives in a popular neighbourhood with her children and works as a home nurse. Gaining access to the world of art, and becoming a star, is a one-way ticket to recognition and independence for this mother. A key to escape her social situation. She invests all of her hopes and savings in the success of her granddaughter, Maria, who has just been selected for an audition. Freely inspired by the film of the same name by Luchino Visconti, which was made in 1951, this show takes a fantastical look at the world of cinema and creativity.
