Led by the circus performer Julien Fournier, Burning examines the derivatives of work, the requirements of which border on the absurd, as well as the phenomenon of burn out. The offstage voice of the author, Laurence Vielle, echoes words that narrate a slow, internal combustion: breathlessness, frenetic pace, obligatory training, repetitive tasks and hierarchical pressures. The body evolves in resonance with the text; the acrobatics are based on the language of the video. Graphs, percentages and testimonials describe the perverse employment, return, capital and sick overconsumption that commodifies man and confounds meaning. At the heart of a moving and imaginative staging, Julien Fournier is trapped in the representative space and dazzlingly illustrates the suffering caused by the evils of society. A powerful, overwhelming choreographic circus with a flamboyant message !
