Victor Hugo Pontes
Portuguese choreographer Victor Hugo Pontes creates a space for expression for a corps de ballet, which runs against the trend for classicism and ideals.
It revisits the normative approach to the body that has held power until the present day, and offers a field of communication as an alternative to reductionist, standardised and useless creations. In order for us to all occupy and share the same world, despite how different our bodies are, the piece offers a fresh perspective on difference and removes the blinkers of our common perceptions of the human condition.
