  • Location : cultuurcentrum, Hasselt

The explorations of Eric Arnal Burtschy, implanted in the living and visual arts, deal as much with a questioning of the human as with the more abstract perspectives related to the research on space and movement. His installation Deep are the Woods welcomes us in an immersive cocoon where different spatial illusions, made up of glow and smoke, interact directly with our sensations. It offers us a connection to nature and the universe through the experience of a physical relationship to light. The movement of its rays gives body to the void and inhabits it with an intangible presence, like a cathedral without a wall, the inner vibration of which would have been retained. Through the “writing of light”, this magical installation prolongs our perception of the world, for the small and big children, from 9 to 99 years by immaterial.
