In 2007, the bodies of a family were found hanged in their home in Pas-de-Calais. While the case has been closed, the mystery remains alive. After investigating the friends and family of the French family and delving into their background, Milo Rau directs the actors An Miller and Filip Peeters (a real-life couple), who re-enact a regular end of the day for a family, one that could very well be their own. Accompanied by their two daughters and their dogs, each one goes about their business, while the boundaries between acting and reality irreparably blur.
