11th Edition

A herald of contemporary dance, the Pays de Danses Festival returns this winter for a new edition rooted in bodies, memories, and geographies.
After traversing many countries and exploring the age-old connections between dance and music, this edition will center around the theme “Heritage and Territories,” inviting us on a sensitive journey into roots, belonging, and cultural blending.

As an international biennial, the Pays de Danses Festival will once again welcome companies and choreographers from across the globe, including from the United States, Cameroon, Italy, Spain, Japan, Thailand, France, and of course, Belgium.

While the full program will be unveiled in a dedicated brochure in December 2025, two major highlights are already announced:
Opening: Choreographer Marcos Morau will present Notte Morricone, a creation inspired by the world of the famous Italian composer;
Closing: American artist Trajal Harrell will summon the mythical figure of Antigone to explore questions of identity and lineage, blending on stage eclectic influences from theater and dance.
