  • Location : Salle de l’Œil vert

At the service of the great stories, Les Karuyatides develop a theatre based on figures, combining puppets, the theatre of objects, shadows, paper theatre, visual arts and music. Their shows are aimed at young, old and everything in between. The heroes in their stories are small objects that are often found at flea markets and recycled with a sense of mischief and imagination. Les Karyatides develop a seemingly endless amount of poetry from this strange set-up. In Géants, we eat until we are full, we fart, we reign in strange ways, we exploit good people, we take advice, we do as we please, we set people ablaze, we cheat at games, we fall head over heels, we set sail in search of an ideal, we crash on unknown shores, we whip up the wind, we deflate, we attack the source of the problem, we cause happy cataclysms, we eat again, we ride on fantastical creatures, we approach bad taste and we use bladders as lanterns. Géants is a bitter, Rabelais-inspired satire about the crudeness of man, in which the hope of a better world will end up getting the better of those who are fed up with change!
