Marianne Pousseur and Enrico Bagnoli work brilliantly to explore an innovative, experimental and contemporary theatrical language. Their research is built around three amazing monologues written by the Greek poet Yannis Ritsos.

Ismene is Antigone’s younger sister and her moral opposite. While her sister is willing to defy an official decision in favour of her own judgement, the younger one is prepared to compromise. She bends to all authority, and hasn’t the courage to express her opinions. However, she is more at ease in her skin and more confident than Antigone, and can take the consequences of her acts into consideration.
