J’ai une épée is an exploration of childhood, of the images that overwhelm it and those that leave space for it to move and to breathe.

In particular, the institutions that are supposed to protect, train, supervise and correct are called into question, starting with national education. We are drawn into a story inspired by several news items involving children and young people, removed from the media, political and police perspectives that overpower them. This piece, which has been composed by performer, philosopher and playwright Camille Louis, lies at the intersection of investigation and fiction and is combined with stories about monsters and bravery inspired by those told by Léa Drouet and her daughter to one another.
